About the Principal Investigator (PI) Journals

PI Journals are a comics-form record of my (Ai's) reflections during the L'IMAGE project. I give readers some of the behind-the-scenes of doing a graphic linguistics public outreach project like this. I did this so that the project process is not hidden from anyone, including the students who participated in this project, and people who may be interested in doing a similar project in the future. I think ethical community-based research starts with transparency. The PI Journals were also a helpful way for me to reflect on what I learned from the project, and helped me make decisions in the project with intentionality.
